Egret Sunset

Knowing that the vibrant sunsets from the heat, haze and smoke would soon be over as we got into late September, I’d scouted out a new spot that would allow not only for an image of the sun, but also a reflection of the sun onto a lake. The lake had shrunk in size due to the heat and drought, and it was quite shallow, so there were quite a few great egrets around, fishing and flying back and forth from time to time. During the short window the sun was reflecting onto the lake, one flew from south to north right into the reflection, splashing the water as it flew by.
