Not many Black Swallowtails graced us with their presence this summer, so it was a real treat to capture this male as it spent a little time gathering some nectar on its journey to somewhere.

This female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail may have a couple of battle scars, but she is still a beauty and flits through the flowers with grace and ease.

A male Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly is captured in flight on his way to the next flower last August for some nectar. This butterfly has a few battle scars from its adventures as it has some scratches and tears, and is missing both of its tails. Nonetheless, still a beauty!
