    The rubies have been back for a while now, and it's always great to see them when they return from their southern vacation. No matter what kind of day you're having, they always brighten it up just a little more. Now that the flowers are coming into their own, looking forward to seeing them dart and hover about in the fields.

    Hummingbirds need to eat all of the time because of their super-fast metabolisms - about every 10 minutes or so. Captured this ruby-throated during one of its breaks with pollen on its beak, and sticking its tongue out. And look at those tiny feet!
