A Snowberry Clearwing moth enjoying itself at the Milkweed buffet in early July. This sphinx moth is often mistaken for a bumblebee because of its color pattern, and it’s no accident since many of nature’s harmless insects imitate more dangerous ones hoping to trick predators into leaving them alone (plantersplace.com). This was a quick one as it darted from one milkweed to another, but was able to catch a handful of frames in focus before it flew off to another patch.
